India had a good game in the first Test after the weather ensured that almost half the overs were not bowled. They need to thank their bowlers in both the innings and the batting in the second innings after they had been bowled out for a little more than 200 in the first innings. The Bangladeshis will be rueing their batting. Some of the batsmen got starts but they looked like they were in an ODI mode and started to hit everything around. That also meant that the Indians knew that they were only a wicket away from triggering a collapse. The Bangladeshi batsmen need to overcome these teething issues and get partnerships going.

They cannot afford to keep relying on their captain Shakib al Hasan to keep delivering with the bat and the ball all the time. He had seven wickets to his name again in the game, and it will need the others to put their hands up and take the attack to the opposition.
